In September 2024, Kingfisher Marine Services successfully delivered two high-efficiency propellers for the 57K bulk carrier operated by a Thai owner. These propellers were designed and supplied by Kingfisher
Marine Service and installed at Weihai CUD Shipyard, and are specifically configured to align with the ME EPL system in compliance with the Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) regulations. The new
propeller design aims to optimize vessel speed, improve fuel efficiency, and reduce carbon emissions significantly.
During the propeller replacements in dry dock, Kingfisher Marine Services provided comprehensive technical support to both the shipowner and the shipyard. The support included conducting a jack-up test,
supervising the on-site fitting of the propellers, and performing speed trials after installation. The results of the speed trials demonstrate that the new propellers achieved excellent performance, met our designed
objectives.

Result Analysis
By a comprehensive analysis and comparison after the new propeller replacements, it has been concluded that the power-saving performance of the vessels surpasses the expectations derived from the ship model.
Furthermore, if other factors are considered, such as hull aging and fouling, it is anticipated that the actual power savings could be even better than those previously indicated.
Kingfisher Marine services focuses on energy efficiency improvement, including but not limited to marine products, EEXI computing, ESD and new propellers. And our mission is to ensure safe navigation with
good quality products, to booster green and smart navigation with innovative technologies.
